Oh, yeah. I forgot about Mrs. McAllister. I run into her every once in a while at the Book Rack in Cape. She is STILL an avid reader and looks about the same, just a little older. Can you believe she still remembers me and some of you others, too??

Great pictures of your children. Thanks for uploading them. Yeah, Mrs. Gross was the PE teacher. That's cool that Mrs. McAllister still remembers us. If you see her or any others, tell them I said hello and get their e-mail information. I'd like to drop them a line every now and then. Also ask if they know where any of our other teachers might be.

I was thinking the same thing the other day, If anyone knew where any of the teachers were. I think we should include them when we get together. I am working on getting pictures, the kids are faster at adding then I am, I probably should let them do it.

Does anyone know if Mr. Hathaway still has the screen arts business in Cape?

02/19/09 10:24 PM #18

Barbara Besher (Lueder)

OK, Adam! Here we go. Yes, Mr. Hathaway still has the screen arts business in Cape. It's behind Sunny Hill on Kingshighway. I talked to "Mary" tonight (significant other, maybe?) and she will give him this website when he gets home. He is in Illinois tonight. They both work at Egyptian (yes, he's still teaching drivers ed, both there in IL and at the VoTech here in Cape). Mary said he tells her stories and knows he would love to hear from us.

I also talked to Robyn Gross and gave her the website. She will be looking us up too! She subs at Cape.

I left a message on Mr. Eck's machine and should hear from him soon.

It will take me a little while to track down Mrs. McAllister. There's so many in the book and "Betty" is not listed.

So, anyway, anybody else in Cape that I can call? I'm not sure about the other teachers. I know our counselor passed away (I just loved him).

What about Ms. Keesee or Ms. Henson, etc?

Just for kicks, anybody thought about uploading Senior pictures for everybody?

02/20/09 11:48 AM #20

Adam Bouchard

I have certainly thought of getting senior pics and uploading them. I wouldn't know where to start. I wouldn't know where to even find one of myself. The only place I know there is one of everyone is on the wall in a frame at Meadow Heights. Any ideas?

I guess I should add the teachers as "classmates" so they can log on. Any objections?

What do you think the pictures would look like if you scanned them out of the yearbook and then uploaded them? I could try one or two. They might show up too dark.

02/20/09 12:30 PM #22

Adam Bouchard

I thought about that, but I don't even know where my yearbook is. Give it a try on your own pic and see how it turns out. I added Mr. Eck, Mrs. Gross, Mr. Hathaway, and Mrs. McAllister as Guest Members. We'll see how it works and we can add more as needed.

Great! Give me a little time to scan, etc. and we'll see what it looks like.

OK Adam. I've uploaded my Senior Pic and made it my master photo. It said something about Senior Pics on the photo page. When I look at my profile, the picture is too large and shows a little grainy, though I made the size 3x4 and it looks fine on my computer. Can you copy that photo and add as a senior pic? We'll see how it looks and if it looks ok, I'll scan the rest and you can upload those. I've already done yours and Angie's using the same dimensions. I'll do the rest if you think it looks ok.

02/21/09 10:37 PM #25

Adam Bouchard

I figured out how to assign the picture as your senior picture. I think it looks fine. It resized it so the grainy look goes away. Let me know what you think. If you think it looks OK and you have time, do the rest just like you did your and we'll figure out how the get them to me. It looks like I have to set the senior pictures.

Just to let you know, when one of the teachers comes to the site, they can click on the "Classmate Profiles" section. At the bottom of the page is a section for "Guest Members". They can set up a profile just like the rest of us.

Looks good! Thanks. I'll try to get to the others in the next couple of days. If you'll get me your email address, I'll send them to you. Probably have to send a few at a time. I know yahoo used to have a max to send in one email. My email is ralueder@yahoo.com.

I've got the ones you sent me out there. I think they look pretty good. You're doing a good job of scanning and cropping. That can't be easy with a yearbook. Thanks for the effort.

OK, I'll be the first brave soul to post a picture of myself. It was taken a couple years ago at my youngest son's baptism. I've broken the ice. I hope many others will follow.

I also know that Mr. Moseley, the AG teacher, is still teaching in Northern Missouri. I ask Jim Wine about him the other night. Jim is going to get his information to me so I can get in touch with him. I am looking forward to this event. I think June would be great.

I know I'm on the tail end...but I guess I keep holding out. Will graduates at the end of May and will "ship out" I'm thinking sometime in June. Hopefully not close to when the reunion is planned. I regret that time..it's getting closer to when I'll lose my baby (he'd roll his eyes if he read that)!

Angie Allen (Mouser)

Thanks Barb for getting the pictures added, I will get my pictures added soon.

Adam,
I think your right we need to go ahead and get a date set for the reunion, I know we will not be able to have it when everyone can attend, but maybe we can get most. Beaver came by today and agreed we needed to get the date set.

I suggest saturday June 13th or June 27th., What does everyone else think?

I'll add a survey in the next few days so we can all vote on a weekend in June. I'll also send out an e-mail to everyone when I do.

Wow--everyone has been so busy the past couple of weeks!! I am ok with the weekend of June 27 as my first choice of weekends. The pictures look awesome. Barb, you are doing a great job on this. THANK YOU!! I am in the midst of a big seminar I am hosting in the next two weeks, so I won't be available much. Adam, when you do the survey for weekends in June, as I said, June 27 would be my first choice, but I could probably make it work the 13th too. So go with the majority. Thanks for everyone's work. It's great to see that our old teachers are still around and may be available for the reunion. This is fantastic!

I would be in favor of June 27 first then the 13th. The more that we discuss this the more I am getting excited to see everyone. Barb, you did a great job on the photos.

I found some classmates on Classmates.com. I sent messages to Kim Chalk, Bernice Cowling, and Leonard Snyder. I also sent a message to Marlene Boothe to see if she could forward it to Darlene. It would really be nice if everyone could at least log on so we can send messages and information. Get the word out!!

I have talked to Kim, Ronald, Terry Wagner, Wade and sent word to Tina thru her husband. As I see different ones I'll stay after them.
